Ingredients:

  • Boneless Chicken Breast or Chicken Thighs (1 package)

  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

  • 2 tablespoons Butter

  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil

  • 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic

Directions:

Prepare the chicken first. Clean the chicken by removing the excess fat and bones if present. Rinse the chicken with water and pat dry.

Set your slow cooker to 4 hours. In the bottom of the slow cooker place the minced garlic. Place chicken on top of garlic and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Add butter and cover the slow cooker.

Halfway through cooking, baste chicken with the liquid that’s inside slow cooker.

Once cooking time is complete, remove one piece of chicken into a bowl and shred with two spoons. Once all pieces have been shredded, strain remaining cooking liquid into bowl containing shredded chicken.

Editor Notes:

The shredded chicken can be used in a variety of ways, on a salad, inside of a quesadilla, for tacos, or even on top of a baked potato just to get the ideas flowing.

To kick up the flavor profile try using cajun seasoning instead of cayenne pepper.
